7 months

Mommy's big girl is pulling herself up and even walking side to side along the couch and coffee table.


The girls, Chloe, Lily and Mya. They are going to be BFFs.


Mya is definitely Great Aunt Carol's girl! She comes to visit Mya at least once a week on her way home from work and Mya looks forward to her visits each week.


Daddy and Kalvin competed in the DockDogs competition in February and Kalvin got third place! Everyone had matching Dogs Rule t-shirts, it was cute!


Daddy gave Mya hear first hair cut. The hairs in the back were getting long and stringy, now she is clean cut.

6 month pictures

Mya fell asleep on the way to the photographer's house so she wasn't in the best of moods when it was time to start shooting. This is the best smile we could get out of her (you've seen other pictures so you know she can do better than that).

Standing

Our little Monster went from crawling one week to pulling herself up a couple of weeks later. Now she is all over the place, getting into whatever she can as fast as she can! We are loving every moment of it. It is amazing to watch her grow so fast...it seems like we just brought her home from the hospital!

My baby is crawling

Mya starting going forward the beginning of January. This was taken on January 10, but it seems like her skills improve each day! She is even starting to learn to go into the sitting position when crawling .

Friends

Mya has lot of friends to play with...Bristal, Kila, Gunner (coming soon) and Nicole!

Mya loves her presents!

At Mya's 6 month checkout she weighed 19 lbs, 10 oz and was 26 1/2 inches long! Therefore, we had to get her a big girl carseat...still rearfacing though. The doctor said she is growing and developing well.

We started feeding Mya carrots this week. She didn't mind them at all! We had the video camera out and ready for her to make a terrible face but she actually liked them!

Mya was starting to move around when she was on the floor right before Christmas. I had laid her down on the middle of her blanket and went into the kitchen to help Michael for a minute. When I came back into the living room she had scooted herself over to the tree and started opening a present!

Mya's first Thanksgiving started at Great Uncle Dave's house with the Needler family. She got a little fussy because she hadn't got her morning nap before we arrived. Her next stop was Grandma and Grandpa Peterson's...she was able to get a nap in on the way to Fort Wayne. She had fun playing with her baby cousin, Clayton. It was a long day that ended with an overnight stay at Nana's house! Mommy went shopping early Friday morning and Daddy laid carpet in the house so Friday was spent at Nana's house!

She is starting to sit up on her own for brief periods of time.

Little Mya is growing so fast. This is her 4 month pictures. She is so happy and is always smiling!

It's tummy time!

Mya loves tummy time! She rolled over for the first time on September 12 but she hasn't done it again. She was getting so excited this session that she almost rolled herself over again!

1st Halloween

Lily, Chloe and Mya were so cute in their costumes. We went to Great Grandma and Grandpa Needler and Papa Needler's house trick or treating!

Born July 1, 2008

Mya Elaine Peterson was 8 lbs 4 oz and 20 1/2 in when she was born on Tuesday, July 1, 2008. She had a rough start when she entered this world. She possibly swallowed and/or inhaled meconium when she was in the womb. Therefore, she was in the NICU for three days being treated with antibiotics as a precaution. Mommy and Daddy were very excited when she got to stay in our room on Friday, the Fourth of July!
